The ring insert is also a good idea. Franklin Covey used to make a slim ring insert for their wire bound planner covers. I used to have one but alas got rid of it with the cover a few years back. Regretting that big time now. Not sure if it would fit in the Flex but I think it may have. As for an elastic band...seems like that would be easy for them to do (like the Domino). Always wondered why they just didn't attach a snap closure for the flex like you find on the ring binders? You can buy elastic bands from office supply but it would be a pain to have to take it off and set it somewhere whenever you opened the binder and mine would be lost the first time I used it! It really needs to be attached to the back of the Flex cover. Definitely send those ideas to Filofax!Cherylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17724328224689359468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7815347271546875249.post-69444701083333287002012-06-13T13:31:43.465+00:002012-06-13T13:31:43.465+00:00I did wonder about self-adhesive transparent sleev...I did wonder about self-adhesive transparent sleeves, but I don't think many people would want to deface their beautiful leather Filofaxes. Plus there could be an issue with the popper/clasp thing that holds your Filofax together if you stuck a sleeve over it.

It could be fun to experiment with a cheaper version though, and I'm sure its possible to cut out a gap for the fastener. I'm not too keen on the Apex for instance, but it would be a perfect DIY experimental Filofax.

You never know, you could end up loving it even more than your expensive ones. Sometimes it's the things you put time and effort into that hold a special place in your heart.

Here's a link to a site selling A5 sticky sleeves if anyone is feeling daring...

http://www.plasticsfabrication.co.uk/pages/stock_items/clear_pockets.php

And don't forget to send me any pics to publish on the blog! It would be VERY interesting to see these crazy ideas of ours in action.
filofancy@gmail.com
xZara M.https://www.blogger.com/profile/12717456143284633193noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7815347271546875249.post-72847405969898182362012-06-12T19:45:42.083+00:002012-06-12T19:45:42.083+00:00I love all of these ideas as well! I've been thinking...I've seen some type of sleeve in office product stores that have an adhesive back to them...for those DIYers out there, I wonder if there are any A5 sized ones that could be stuck onto the outside of the binder. Might look a bit too DIY but just an idea.DEMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05905718381842352418noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7815347271546875249.post-13687611068435441392012-06-09T13:04:18.482+00:002012-06-09T13:04:18.482+00:00Thanks!
